Default Hero Ranger's pet question

Is it possible to get rid of your hero's pet? If so, how?

I managed to charm a flamingo for Acolyte Jin, but now I can't get rid of the flamingo (I want to get her a crocodile or hippo). I have tried talking to Nehdukah (outside Sunspear Great Hall) and he doesn't show an option to get rid of her pet.

So next I tried talking to Jarrel the Tamer (outside Ascalon City) and the weird thing is, he shows the option "Do you have any interest in my companion here?". But when I click on that option, the dialog box goes away and nothing happens. Then I tried talking to Sahnlae the Tamer (outside Shing Jea Monastery) and he also shows the option "Do you have any interest in my companion here?" but again, nothing happens after I clicking on it.

Is my Acolyte Jin stuck with the flamingo? Would this be considered a bug?

You can't get rid of them at the moment. Tamers just don't wanna talk to your heroes. If you go with your own pet he offers to take him, not the heroes' pets.

< same problem btw

Whew! At least I know I'm not alone in this. Maybe I should send ANet an bug report or something. And the reason I charmed a pet with my hero was to make my own micro-B/P team. And I think I'll hold off charming pets for my other heroes until this is fixed.
